Shake Weight Progress - Week 1

After seven days I can feel a slight difference, however nothing that the camera can recognise!

I will continue for another seven days and hopefully some progress can be visible by then. I really do think the shake weight is a good working out device, as much as I HATE the look the other half gives me when using it!!! (if you have ever used one you will understand what I mean...)

After about 30 seconds of constant use the burn begins to start in my arms, so my routine us usually 1 minute shake, 10 second rest, and I repeat that six times to complete my six minutes each day.

I am hoping come this time next week you will be able to notice a difference, and if my results continue to improve I will definatley keep on using the shake weight up until the wedding. Defined, toned arms are a bridal MUST in my eyes! It is the only skin visible on the day, and so I want to make sure it is as toned as can be. Bingo wings will not be making an apperance at my wedding!

Visit back in seven days to check out my progress.

Day 45 - Blink and you miss it!

And the weekend is almost over, just like that! Why does it always have to go so quickly? I hope it has been a good one for you all! My weekend was a varely uneventful one, we attended a wedding Friday evening and have just done a few jobs here and there and visiting friends and family.

Regarding toe-gate, it has improved immensely over the last few days and I was fully intending to start Insanity yesterday however I made the silly mistake of wearing heels to the wedding. At the time it didn't hurt at all, but when I woke up yesterday there I was experiencing quite alot of pain and so decided it wouldn't be wise to try and put more pressure onto it. Today it is feeling alot better so I am planning on starting Isanity tomorrow... argh!I would love to hear from anyone who has tried Isanity, how they thought about it and what results they gained from it. The Groom will also be joining me on the Isanity experience... this could be very funny!

Food wise I have eaten healthily, with my breakfasts being the norm (I can never see me getting bored of it!), and for my dinner I ate two chicken and salad wraps. I always eat my breakfast late on a weekend, and then never feel hungry until early evening. It must be all the running around I do!

Yesterday I visited my gorgeous 12 week old niece. I may be biased, but how could you not think this is gorgeous?!

THE cutest thing I have ever seen!!!

So this week, watch out for Isanity related blogposts, an update on my experience with the shake weight I have been using for almost a week, and more posts on my day to day life!

Day 44 - Week 6 Weigh In

And the time has come again!

Start Weight - 13st 10lbs

Last Week's Weight - 13st 6lbs

New Weight - 13st 4.5lbs

1.5lbs lost! I am so chuffed the weight is coming off again. After a few weeks of no weight change I am so pleased it is making a move, in the right direction! In total I have now lost 5.5lbs, which on average is one pound a weeks since I started my blog. I could lose it alot quicker than I am, but I am happy at losing it at this pace, and have more chance of keeping it off this way!

I am now one and a pound off losing my first half a stone. So I am going to set myself the challenge of losing that 1.5lbs by next Saturday, to hit that half a stone mark! I am possibly going to be ordering my wedding dress in the next month or so, and therefore would like to be as slim as I could be for when it is ordered. They can make alterations up to two dress sizes smaller (doubt I will lose that much!) but I would like as little alterations to be made as possible, it is expensive you know!

Measurements -
Arms - 29cm
Chest - 100cm
Waist - 86cm
Hips - 115cm
Thighs - 63cm

No change in my measurements. I haven't done any exercise this week due to my toe still healing, but I am hopefully going to start exercising again in the next day or two. So watch this space, I aim for these measurements to be smaller next Saturday!

My aims for next weigh in -

  • Lose 1.5lbs to reach my half a stone mark
  • Go on atleast two 3 mile walks this week
  • Attempt Insanity... that could be difficult! But you get nowhere without putting the hard work in, right?!
Join me next week to find out if I succeed!

Day 43 - Feeling Lighter!

If only my blog title meant physically about my figure! No no... that's not what it means.

... I had my hair highlighted. I am naturally quite blonde but over the past year or so I have been dying it a strawberry blonde / light brown colour. In time for my wedding I have decided to go lighter, as I think it suits my colouring more, and is easier to maintain.

What do you guys think? From this...

To this...

I'm loving having my blonde hair back, I just wish the English weather would brighten up along with it too! Yesterday evening we went to a wedding, it was in such a lovely setting and got me all excited for my wedding! Below is the outfit I wore...

Dress: Zara
Shoes: Next

Hope you all have a great weekend, I will be back very shortly with my weigh in results!

Day 42 - Just call me Chef!

So how is everyone's week going? I am so glad we are almost at the weekend, again! This weekend we are attending a wedding and waving goodbye to a dear friend who is moving to New York... I mean really, could you not fit us in your suitcase?!

Today was a normal day at work, nothing exciting to report there. I ate healthily all day, even though I had the worst craving for Cadburys chocolate!!! I came home from work so hungry and craving something tasty and so went for our favourite meal, Indian curry. It never fails to disappoint! Below is the recipe I go by, it alters every time I cook it, but the foundations always stay the same. It is such a tasty meal, and healthy, what more can you want?!

Ingredients -
1 x Onion
1 x Pepper
Mushrooms (however many you want!)
2 x Chicken Breasts
Boiled Rice
Low fat nautral yoghurt
Tandoori Curry Powder

  • Firstly, chop up all of the vegetables, and chicken breasts into small pieces
  • Then start off by cooking the chicken in a pan, sprayed with Frylight (low calorie version of oil)
  • Once the chicken is almost cooked, add the vegetables until they soften
  • Then comes the fun part! Add the Tandoori Curry Powder (this is what we are using at the moment, you can pick whichever flavourings you prefer)

  • I then like to add some more spices such as Cayenne, Garam Masala and Tumeric.
  • When the curry has almost finished cooking, I then turn the rice on and allow 10-15 minutes for that to cook
  • A few minutes before serving the curry, I then add three or four table spoons of this low fat natural yoghurt, just to give it that creamier taste. It really does make a complete difference to the flavour!

  • And then once all is cooked, serve and enjoy!

It was delicious, and hit the spot amazingly! There wasn't even a smidge left on my plate after several minutes of taking this picture. Cooking from scratch is well worth the results, go give it a try people! It not the most difficult of recipes (trust me, if I can cook it...) and let me know how you get on!

Toodlepip.
